About Rebecca Teng:
Dr. Teng is a Dallas native, she attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with Highest Honors in the Plan II Honors Program and Spanish. She returned to Dallas for her medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Her obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency were at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, where she received awards in medical education, patient care, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Teng worked as a generalist obstetrician/gynecologist in southern Massachusetts, where she was awarded “Rookie of the Year” at her hospital, and in Round Rock, Texas, where she was selected to Super Docs: Rising Stars 2019 and 2020. She holds an Affiliate Faculty appointment at UT Austin Dell Medical School in the Department of Women’s Health.
Dr. Teng’s clinical interests include menopause, obstetrics, sexual health, breastfeeding, and adolescent gynecology. She is a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and has done additional training to specialize in menopause as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP). Dr. Teng is an advocate for reproductive health, rights, and justice, and she hopes to use these principles to serve patients with compassion and commitment to their health.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Teng enjoys reading, working out, and traveling. She lives in Austin with her husband and son.
