About Melissa Dhas:
Melissa Dhas, MSN, NP-C, WHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP). Melissa graduated from George Mason University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). While practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN), she continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she successfully completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) specializing in both Geriatric Health and Women’s Health. This additional training has prepared her to clinically assess and treat women of all ages, from adolescence, onset of menstruation, family planning (contraception and pregnancy), and menopause.
Melissa worked for five years at the INOVA Women’s Hospital as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, which has increased her knowledge and clinical experience with newborn infants. In this role, Melissa particularly enjoyed educating new parents on newborn care and what to expect while their baby was being treated in the NICU. Her caring nature, attention to detail, clear communication skills, and extensive clinical experience make Melissa an exceptional Nurse Practitioner.
Melissa was born in Delaware but now lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband. She enjoys working out, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family.
