About Marla Klein:
Hello, it is nice to meet you. I have been a dermatologist for 25 years, and I see patients daily at my office. I went to medical school because I enjoy helping people. Early in my career, I was interested in wound care. After a short time, it became evident I was greatly skilled at performing aesthetic injections.
I value quality over quantity. I started my own practice, not because I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but because I never wanted to be put in the situation where a corporation would tell me how to practice and how many patients I was required to see each day.
The covid pandemic created some stressors for small businesses like mine. In 2021, I stopped accepting Medicare insurance because it pays poorly, has lengthy documentation requirements and important prescriptions were not covered. I will write more about Medicare in my BLOG section soon.
I have no plans to retire in the near future. As long as I remain healthy, I could keep practicing 10 years more, or longer.
