About Kaitlyn Mayer:
Dr. Mayer is a Jersey Girl at heart, born and raised on the Jersey Shore. She graduated cum laude from NYU with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology. She then joined Teach for America, earning her Master in Education from Bank Street College of Education and teaching elementary school in Brooklyn for two years. She then returned to NJ to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor, graduating from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with Distinction in Service to the Community. She joined her husband in the Navy and completed her Residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. She spent her last four years of service in Virginia and California and continued her passion for teaching as Simulation Coordinator for the OBGYN residents and Medical Student Clerkship Site Director for EVMS and USUHS medical students.
Dr. Mayer is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is passionate about empowering, educating, and listening to her patients. Her particular interests are pregnancy loss, contraception, reproductive choice, LGBTQ+ care, and pediatric/adolescent gynecology.
Dr. Mayer and her husband used to enjoy traveling and exploring wine country, but these days their time is spent with their busy, inquisitive, mischievous and adorable daughter watching Disney movies, singing, dancing, painting, and running around playgrounds.
