About Irene Tower:
Dr. Irene Tower is a female cosmetic surgeon and an associate physician at Inland Cosmetic Surgery. She is a graduate from the Allegheny General Hospital Surgery residency program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Tower moved to Southern California and completed a fellowship in Cosmetic surgery with Dr Jacob Haiavy.
She was born in New Jersey to Romanian immigrant parents but was raised in Houston, Texas. Growing up, Dr. Tower enjoyed the arts and spent most of her days crafting, drawing or sculpting. Even though her family was certain she would enter the world of arts as a career, Dr Tower always dreamed of becoming a doctor when she was growing up.
After high school she went to The University of Texas where she graduated with honors with a bachelor of arts in biochemistry. She then received her medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. It was here that she realized that she loved to work with her hands and was meant to be a surgeon.
Her new found passion took her across the country to Pittsburgh where she spent the next six years of surgical training at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Tower saw a variety of very difficult and extreme cases. With over 1,000 surgical cases completed in differing areas such as breast, abdomen, head and neck, Dr. Tower truly finished with a strong clinical and surgical skill set.
Within her training she was fortunate enough to work alongside Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgeon on complex abdominal cases. While working on reconstructing large abdominal wall defects Dr. Tower was inspired to enter the field of cosmetic surgery. Her time spent with this mentor showed her that the surgical field of cosmetic surgery could become her creative outlet by incorporating both her passion for art and cosmetic surgery.
She escaped the treacherous winters of Pittsburgh and moved here to Rancho Cucamonga with her two small children (3 years and 12 months) and husband to complete a fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Dr. Haiavy. After completing the fellowship, Dr. Tower was overjoyed to join the practice at Inland Cosmetic and work with such a well-respected and skilled surgeon, Dr. Jacob Haiavy.
As a female cosmetic surgeon, she honors the trust that patients must impart when choosing a surgeon to make them look and feel better. It is this trust that is constantly motivating her to continue to learn and be the best. Dr. Tower takes pride in being approachable, kind, and empathetic to all patients and their concerns. She always wants to make patients feel comfortable, like they are talking to an old friend.
Dr. Tower and her family feel right at home in Southern California. She is excited to be part of the Inland Cosmetic Surgery family and spending many more years in the beautiful sunshine of Southern California.
