About Charbel Awad:
Dr. Awad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the American University of Beirut and his medical degree from the University of Balamand. He completed residency at Inova Fairfax Women’s Hospital where he served as academic chief resident and was awarded the 2019 Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery Resident Award from the Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (SLS).
Dr. Awad offers complete Obstetric and Gynecologic care. He performs minimally invasive procedures including same-day-discharge hysterectomies, and in-office procedures. He also offers comprehensive and patient-centered obstetrical care.
A strong advocate of shared decision-making, Dr. Awad spends a significant time counseling and providing health education to ensure his patients receive quality and evidence-based care.
Dr. Awad is also an assistant professor of medical education at the University of Virginia medical school and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
Dr. Awad has multiple publications in high impact journals and has presented at national and international conferences.
Dr. Awad is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
