About Alexandra Andes:

Alexandra Andes, MD, OB/GYN, is an obstetrician-gynecologist and laparoscopic surgeon at The Association for Women’s Health Care, providing complete women’s health care to residents of The Loop in Chicago and Northbrook, Illinois.

Dr. Andes studied at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, earning her undergraduate degree in biology and graduating summa cum laude. The next year, she enrolled at the University of South Florida (USF) Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa and obtained her Doctor of Medicine.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Andes completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison. She received training in various aspects of women’s health care but had a special interest in laparoscopic surgery. In 2023, she obtained her Robotic Surgery Certification and the title of Chief Resident.

Dr. Andes is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Medical Association.
