About Rachael Freeman:
Rachael aspires to support women in every season of life so that they may discover lasting fulfillment and confidence in mind, body, and spirit. She hopes that her warm, sensitive demeanor and respectful approach to healthcare helps ease women through important transitions in their lives.
Rachael grew up in Hanover, Virginia, and obtained her nursing degree from James Madison University. After several years of caring for patients in the hospital setting, she returned to school to complete her Master’s degree in women’s health from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky. She is both a certified nurse-midwife and board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner. Rachael began her career working for a private OB/GYN practice in Stafford, Virginia, and is excited about the opportunity to serve women in the metro Richmond area, where she grew up.
While Rachael loves caring for women of all ages, she particularly enjoys guiding adolescent and teen women to better understand and care for their changing bodies. She also has a special passion caring for expectant mothers from before they conceive through the postpartum/newborn stage. She believes that women’s bodies are incredible and every mother has a right to a satisfying and life affirming birth experience. In addition to prenatal and postpartum visits, she is skilled in annual and problem-focused gynecologic exams.
In her spare time, Rachael loves spending quality time with her husband, son, and golden retriever. She enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, and spending time outdoors.
