Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the muscles of the "pelvic floor" can no longer keep the pelvic organs in place. These organs include your bladder, uterus, vagina, small bowel, and rectum. Depending on the severity, treatment options include Kegel exercises, the use of a pessary or surgery.
