About Michelle Spector:
Michelle Spector, MD of Capital Women’s Care in Rockville, Maryland treats women of all ages for a broad range of women’s health issues but has special expertise in high-risk obstetrics and management of osteoporosis.
As an undergraduate, Dr. Spector double-majored in biology and psychology and graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She went on to earn her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta.
After her residency, Dr. Spector joined the Air Force and served as a staff physician, practicing obstetrics and gynecology, at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. She also served on the teaching faculty for residents.
A New York native and mother of twins, Dr. Spector worked in private practice in Austin, Texas before settling in Rockville. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is currently on staff at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, where she was an OB/GYN Department chair and a member of the Peer Review.
