Martin Carney, MD, FACS

Dr. Martin Carney is a board certified plastic surgeon located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dr. Carney is highly experienced, having provided cosmetic surgery to the Hampton Roads area for over 25 years.

In order to assure patients receive the best care and treatment, Dr. Carney stays on the forefront of cosmetic and plastic surgery by bringing the latest approaches available in aesthetic medicine. In addition, his ambulatory facility is AAAASF certified – the gold standard for patient safety. Overall, Dr. Carney is here to listen to his patients, understand their needs, and to provide patients with a beautiful new look that helps them look and feel their best.

Dr. Carney graduated Magna cum Laude at Boston College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently, he attended Jefferson Medical College, where he graduated with his medical degree. He completed his residency in Surgery at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital, and later completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Brigham & Women's Hospital and The Children's Hospital.

Dr. Carney is a member of numerous medical affiliations, including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Medical Society of Virginia, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
