Dr. Mark J. Godat is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in private practice since 1987 and provides comprehensive Women’s Healthcare services in Dallas. He strives to treat all his patients as if they were his own family members. This is a trait and a passion that he shared with his father, Dr. Joseph Godat, who was a beloved OB/GYN in the Dallas area for over 40 years. His favorite part of his job is establishing and maintaining the doctor-patient relationship through all phases of a woman’s life, from adolescents to delivering babies to caring for them later in their life.
Dr. Godat takes great pride in providing a long history of experience, as well as cutting-edge care for his patients, some of whom have been with him for more than 25+ years. He and his staff offer over 70+ years of combined experience to provide patients with the most current information and innovations in women’s health, high-risk pregnancy care, routine gynecological services, and additional services.
Graduating with a Doctorate in medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Dr. Godat completed his OB/GYN residency at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Godat is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Godat retains affiliations with Medical City Dallas. He currently services on the Governing Board for Unified Women’s Healthcare of Texas and The Partners Board of Medical City Dallas ASC. He currently serves on the National Speakers Bureau for Duchesnay, Cord Blood Registry, and for the Minerva Ablation Device. He continues to lecture to residents, mid-level providers and other physicians on numerous women’s healthcare topics. He has been a member of Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and National American Menopause Society. He serves on Boards of Ortho Women’s Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline, and Eli Lilly and Company.
