About Lane Smith:
Dr. Lane Smith is a board certified plastic surgeon residing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Smith offers a full range of services for the face, breast, and body, as well as med spa services. Dr. Smith believes in treating and caring for patients as if they were family, by creating a safe and comfortable environment for them. He is committed to helping patients achieve their goals and will utilize his knowledge and experience to help enhance each patient’s beauty.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Utah Medical School and achieved membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Later, he developed a strong interest in Ear, Nose, Throat-head, and Neck surgery and attended one of the top schools for this specialty, the University of Texas Medical Branch, located in Galveston. Additionally, Dr. Smith earned the highest score in the nation on the federal licensure exam – one of two national exams all medical students must pass to become a physician. During his time in Texas, Dr. Smith soon became president of the Texas Medical Association-Resident Physician Section. He sat on the Texas Council of Medical Education and helped develop policies and legislation as it pertained to health care. After finishing his training and residency in Texas, Dr. Smith completed a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University and was awarded the Jack Anderson Award by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery. While attending Stanford University, he earned the highest score on a national exam for the second time, and served as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery. Afterwards, he completed a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic, where he was fortunate enough to work with some of the great pioneers of plastic and reconstructive surgery. During his time at the Mayo Clinic, he achieved the award for best research paper on Aesthetic Surgery for the resident physician section by the American Plastic Surgery Society.
Dr. Lane Smith helped create the Las Vegas Plastic Surgery Society, and has served as their president. He also served as secretary of the Rocky Mountain Plastic Surgery Society, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also has given back to the community by completing medical missions to places such as Zimbabwe, to help those in need.
