About John Edney:
Dr. John Edney has been a board certified plastic surgeon since 1984 and is a proud member of the team of plastic surgeons at Aesthetic Surgical Images. As an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Edney has had extensive training in his work, being able to deliver his patients with excellent patient care. Communication is important between a doctor and a patient and Dr. Edney listens to his patients and builds a trusting relationship with them so that they understand and feel comfortable going through the surgical process.
Dr. Edney is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from the Creighton University School of Medicine in 1976. He completed his 5-year residency in general surgery at Creighton University and subsequently received his board certification in general surgery. He also completed a one year fellowship in surgical oncology at Creighton University. Dr. Edney completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh where he remained for an additional fellowship in micro vascular surgery. Dr. Edney returned to Omaha in 1983 and has been in private practice since then.
In addition to his role as one of the top Omaha, Nebraska plastic surgeons, Dr. Edney is chairman of the board of directors of Special Friends, a charitable organization which organizes a yearly day of celebration for over 900 breast cancer survivors and their friends and families.
Dr. John Edney is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and also at the Creighton University School of Medicine. He is Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. Dr. Edney is also a member of several medical societies including: American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery and the Metro Omaha Medical Society. Dr. Edney is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
