Dr. Roach grew up in small town Minnesota where everyone knows everyone. This spirit now infuses her daily practice. “Every patient is someone’s mother, sister or daughter and I strive in every patient encounter to treat every woman like they are my own mother, sister or daughter.” Creating long lasting relationships with her patients where she can be a true ally is a paramount goal. “As an OBGYN I have the privilege of participating in life changing moments with my patients and for that I am truly grateful.”
Dr. Roach completed her residency at the University of Toledo where she excelled in minimally invasive surgery and high-risk obstetrics earning her the honors of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology as well as the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine Award for Excellence in Obstetrics. She was also selected as the Outstanding Resident Teacher.
Her professional interests include minimally invasive robotic surgery, pregnancy and prenatal care including high risk obstetrics, contraceptive management and abnormal uterine bleeding. She believes in a team approach to medicine where the patient is the captain. “My role is to be the expert in diagnoses, treatments, risks, benefits and alternatives. As well as to truly listen to the patient and their experience. The patient is the expert on their lives and special circumstances. Together we will find the therapy that will empower her to take control of and improve her health.”
At home she and her husband are kept on their toes by their two young sons (Thomas and Liam) a two-year-old retriever (Sunny) and 15-year-old chihuahua (Gizmo). “We don’t exactly have a quiet house. There’s never a dull moment and we thrive on the energy.” When she does get some down time she enjoys cooking, power yoga and is a true Vikings fan.
